Transient Frank was formed in 2001 by Danny Ball and Tony
Dilk previously of Y5, Kelly Smelser, and Jake Hayden. After recording A.M.O.U.I. Jake was replaced by Phil Powers in 2002. Later in 2002 Brian Wooden came in to play drums. In 2003 TF found a solid identity as former Perfect Nothing drummer, Matt Wilson, joined the band.
